Camp & VBS *****UPDATED******

Sorry, I haven't updated in awhile. It was a VERY busy, but fun week!! I tried to post Friday, but just didn't have the energy.

Kaylie of course had her week of summer camp. She had fun. They went to the Jumpy Place, made cookies and pizza, and even had a Pirate come. Chase didn't do too much out of the house activities, him and daddy spent the time at home doing some male bonding: mowed the lawn, played football, and played a LOT with cars and trains.

Vacation Bible School was also this week. The theme was Beach Party (which for those looking for themes this is a really good one!). It started Sunday and lasted until Thursday from 6:30 to 9pm, which made for some late nights. I had just got the kids on a schedule of going to bed at 8:30, which didn't make it any easier. The kids had a BLAST, and that is all that matters. I was really amazed at the amount of children that were there. One night in just ages 2-6 there were 50 kids, and it was for all ages. The other good thing is there were just as many adults to help out. I helped out with the Kindergarten and First graders, and they wore me OUT!! But they did behave really well! Every group did crafts, music, outside time, and even a science activity each night. I can tell Kaylies favorite class was music, she is still singing and requesting the songs, luckily they gave us a CD. For the first time this week Chase actually went freely into the toddler class. Even though he has fun each week, he always starts crying when we drop him off, mainly because he thinks he is being left with "babies." They said that he really enjoyed the crafts and spent 30 min decorating one visor (Picture to the right). I do have to share a funny from this week: One night the topic was "Be Bold," well they were in Science, and Chase stands up and says "my daddy bowls."

Hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful weekend.
