Well, everyone survived this week!
Chase has developed a dry cough mainly when he wakes up in the morning and at night in bed, but has no other symptoms. Hopefully, no others show up either. He has also been staying dry thru the night, which means no more diapers OR Pull-Ups!! YEA! We still have the occasional accident, but I declare him officially Potty Trained!! {Clapping & jumping for joy}.
Kaylie started her summer camp and had a blast! She finger painted a few pictures, made a whistle, a bunny mask, and according to her she just played. She did meet a little girl that she played with everyday, that she referred to as "the girl." She did tell me "at first she didn't like me, then she came over and read books, and then she was my friend." She goes again next week and has her first FIELD TRIP-to the Jumpy Place!
Chase on the other hand was a completely different child! The first day Jeff took him to the playground at Victory Park, and all he wanted was his sissy! He really wasn't into playing too much, so they ended up going back home playing with cars and his trains. He had also got an ant bite on the top of his foot a few days prior that was bothering him. The next day Chase did much better leaving Kaylie. The boys went to Fort Yargo, and had a blast! They ran around playing football, played on the playground, toured the old fort and just had fun. Chase did mentioned to Kaylie when they picked her up that "fooball not fur girws, onwy boys" (footballs not for girls, only boys). But after they left Fort Yargo the boys went to McDonalds to play. Chase acted like he had never been there before! He would go up a few steps, then come back down! Finally a little girl about his age went up so he followed her, but he would only go up if she did! Chase did have a lot of fun playing with Jeff, but last night when I told him sissy didn't have camp he was very excited!
Thats pretty much the week in a nutshell.
*Funny quote of the week:
I was asking Kaylie about who she played with, well Chase decided to chime in and say he "I pway wif Thomas" (I play with Thomas). Kaylie looked at him with a very puzzled look and said Thomas the Train, and without skipping a beat, he said "Yep.
