Quick update:
We are all doing fine. Kaylie will be starting Summer Camp next week for a few hours in the morning. During that time Jeff and Chase will have some male bonding time. This will be a little test to see how Chase does without Kaylie around. We are still trying to get Jeff on first shift starting this fall, but nothing has become available. Jeff and I both want a normal family schedule! If he does get on first shift we will not be putting Chase back in Mrs. Staceys care, :( she will need to know before July, and we will not know by then. But, we have found a daycare that charges what Stacey does, that one of our friends child is going to and they cant say enough good things about it.
Here are a few "cute" things the kids have said/done since the begining of the year.
Kaylie:
She has been quite the fashion diva lately, and extremely picky about the clothes she wears. I have already have had a few fights on what to wear. Back when it was still cold for pants she came up to me, and said "Mom, these are not tight on my booty," she will also say this now with shorts. Then a few weeks ago, she put on a tank top, that was not tight fitting and she refused to wear it! Please lord help me when she is a teenager!
Back in January she said "I just don't want to go to Michaels, I don't want to go to Mrs. Staceys either, I just want to go to school!" Well a few months from now she will get her wish!
In the car "why did you eat Chase Mommy?" Totally taken back, I had to ask her again. Then realizing she saw a picture of me when I was pregnant, and explained I didn't eat him!
Back around her birthday she had one birthday party with Jeff's family and then another with friends at Painted Potter. Well, she was convinced that at the birthday party with Jeffs Family she turned 4, then the Painted Potter she turned 5! It took a few weeks to convince her that she is only 4.
Chase:
- "Daddy, look your trucks flying!!" Getting new tires, and it was on the lift.
- I had just finished sneezing right before getting his jammies on and I said my nose was running. He proceeded to look up my nose, then said "yep, it is."
- The other day we had to explain to the kids that Booger died (my dads dog). I think it was the hardest thing I have had to do. Well we told them he went to heaven to see Jesus. Chase thought a moment then said "If he doesn't see Jesus will he come back?" I didn't know how much the kids would understand, but they have really surprised me. They have actually been saying and telling everyone that Booger is with Jesus.
- We are at the stage where he asks if every word is a bad word, except bad words, for example the words he has asked are like hug, love, stinky.
- Chase does not think he is 2! The other day at Church he convinced a little boy he was 3, so the boy proceeded to tell him on his next birthday he will be 4, just like the rest of them. So, that is what he thinks. The other night our neighbors had their neice over and she wanted to play, I explained to the kids that the little girl was 4 just like Kaylie. Well, Chase patted his head, and said "I am this tall now, I am 4." Chase did play more with the little girl than Kaylie did, but thats another story I am not going to go into.
Hope everyone is doing well!
