Just wanted to share some of the things that are going to be happening in the next few months.
Cheerleading season has officially began!! Monday we had a meeting and all the girls got to meet, play, and even try on the uniforms (which are VERY CUTE!!!). The girls all got along very well, and there is even a girl that will be in Kaylies school class!! The girls even got into the play make-up and most of them even got it on their uniform. Can you guess who initiated that???? :( I was able to get it out of Kaylies uniform, and will share with the other moms tomorrow. Don't worry about Chase, he has people to play too, because most of the girls have two year old brothers! I am not sure if any of you remember one of the first posts I did regarding the Krispy Kreme Fundraiser. Well, we are still doing that. All of the information regarding what and how much is the same, so please refer to blog. I have to turn in the order the 1st Thursday in September, so if you are interested please let me know, if I dont ask first. :) . I do not have the schedule of games yet, but I do know the first game will more likely be Sept 20th.
The day has almost arrived! Next Friday, is Kaylies FIRST DAY of School!!! She is all set and ready to go, as far as I know. I found out by talking with a few moms on Kaylies cheerleading squad that her teacher will be Miss Connie, and is very good and creative. We will meet her next Thursday!!!
We have officially signed up Chase for Preschool which is held at our church. He will be going Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9-12. It starts Sept 3, and he will be in the 2 year old class. Just like in regular school the age is he is on Sept 1st is the class he goes into, even though a few weeks after he starts he will be 3. I have many mixed emotions it, but there is not much I can do. My main concern is he will be stuck with kids who JUST turned two, with him being three, and knowing all he does. But, I did speak with another mom tonight who's son will be in the same class, and she reassured me the director is really good at moving kids around if she needs to. YEA!!!
That same day also starts Wednesday nights back up at our church. I am excited because I finally convinced the person that runs the activities that there needs to be something done with the 2-3 year old, and not just put in the nursery with the babies!! Her theory is that they are too young to be put with the 4&5 year old, and when they get to be 4 they can start the activities! URG! It REALLY irritates me. She said they tried in the past, but there just wasn't enough that showed up the nights they tried. MY Theory is if it is a weekly thing, MORE parents with toddlers will come!! We are going to try it for a few weeks and see how it works. Anyway, I told her I would do it, if she would send me the plan for the older ones, I will find similar things geared toward the little ones. My plan is going to be just like the older ones do, 20 min game, 20 min bible study, 20 min craft. I know with the little ones I will not need that long for each, especially the craft, but there are toys in the room they can play with too. If you have any online websites that are geared towards toddler bible study, PLEASE let me know! I also need fun indoor games that can be played with a group, I will not need those till it gets cold, but I want to go ahead and start thinking about it. Thanks for your help in advance!!
Please wish Jeff and I luck on Sunday. We will be doing Children's Church for the first time!! I am actually excited and think it will be fun, but also slightly nervous.
Hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL week!!
