Camp/Lessons

I have been a total slacker about posting, sorry!

Our weekend get away went FABULOUS!!! The original plan was to get to our hotel in Folly Beach, swim in the ocean a little, then get changed and go to Charleston for the evening! Well, Jeff and I were having so much fun in/on the ocean, we decided just to stay in Folly. It is a wonderful little town! It does not have the putt-putt, go karts, and other normal things you find at the beach, but all the restaurants were not franchises!! We were able to walk everywhere, once we parked our car Saturday, it did not move until we left Sunday! Sunday, on the way home we did stop in Charleston and spend a few hours on the Yorktown, which was really cool! See the photos, and the views we had out our hotel!!

Last week Kaylie had her summer camp, which yet again she loved! She actually cried on Friday because she didn't have it. This week is the last week, but she starts School on August 15!

The kids also had swim lessons 6:30-7pm Monday-Thursday, which are this week too! It is a wonderful indoor facility that is grounded, so even though we have had storms and raining it is not cancelled!
Kaylie has done AWESOME!!! She was not terrified at all, I spoke with the teacher and she was surprised to learn that she is scared with Jeff & I. I am not quite sure what all she is learning because I am on the other side of the pool with Chase, but this past weekend she actually swam across our little pool under water! Before she wouldn't even go under water! She did inform me she was still scared of Papa’s pool, because she can’t touch, (she is at the stairs during swim lessons). We will have to show her it is ok!
Chase is in the pool with me, and is doing great, but WEARING me out!!! Once he is in the water he doesn’t stop moving!! In class we have done bubbles, back floats, kicking around on a noodle and on kick board, using diggers (moving hands) jumping in the water not going under and going all the way under. His favorite things to do in class are jumping into the water, and this turtle that he likes throwing and swimming to go get! It is funny, because to get the kids to go under water they are supposed to do a monkey face, but Chase always does a fish face instead. He told me this weekend it is because fish go under water! J

Hope everyone is doing well!
