4th of July

Fourth of July, turned out pretty good! We got some great pictures of the kids individually and separately. I would have liked them to get some more individual pictures, but we would have spent a lot more than we already did!! Here is a little sample:

After we had pictures taken we ate lunch, and then Jeff did his good deed and gave blood. While Jeff was doing that I took the kids to play in the Mall play area, they had a BLAST!! Kaylie was busy being Miss. Social, talking with EVERYONE, young, old, middle aged, and especially the babies. She did run around and play, but was more talkative than anything. Chase was running and jumping off everything he could!!! When Jeff was done we put them in their suits and let them play in the fountain. They were not too sure at first, but finally got used to it and had a lot of fun. Once they started getting cold we went and did the parking lot activities. We did the Dave FM booth again this year, and unlike last year where Jeff & I both made a hole in one, only I did this year. :) They took our picture and said it would be online, but its not there yet. We let the kids do a few rides, and they got their picture taken by another radio station (that's not up either). By then the kids were done and wanted to play in the fountain again.
When they were done we went back to the truck and cooked dinner, played Corn Hole, and did some little fireworks. Miss Social, aka Kaylie, who is always looking for someone to play with, found a little girl about her age to play with. They were really, really, really nice people, but I am bad and can not remember their names. I do know the little girls nickname was LaLa. Kaylie did MUCH better with the fireworks, she did have her fingers in her ears the entire time, but no crying which is a first! I do have to say, the fireworks weren't too bad, I feel like every year the show gets shorter and shorter. It probably doesn't help that we were at Thunder Over Louisville back in April, which definitely put this show to SHAME!!!
When the fireworks were over, we put the kids into their jammies and took the to Granny's & Papa's for the weekend. By the time we got there they were both asleep, which made the leave MUCH easier!!!
