Florida

Well, we are now on our way home from Florida. Jeff is listening to the race on the radio while driving and the kids are "resting" in the back seat. So, that leaves me to blog on my phone.
We had a fairly short but great trip. Like all vacations none of us are ready to come home.
We left EARLY Thursday morning, because we wanted to be able to go to the beach before heading to my moms. The first beach we went to was Hernando Beach, but the location our GPS took us was an inlet in the middle of a neighborhood. Now I am sure there is a beach some where close, but we couldn't find it. So, we searched for another beach, and went to Sunset Beach. We were not impressed, so we didn't stay long and just headed to my moms to swim in the pool! If it wasn't salty I would have thought I was at a lake in Georgia!

Friday we went to my Grannys and spent the day her. We started at the Florida Aquarium. It was fun seeing all the birds, fish, and sharks. Kaylies favorite part was seeing a fish that had a bite taken off the side, she actually named him "bitey." Chases favorite part was seeing the sharks, from the moment we walked in the aquarium he started asking where they were. We left the aquarium, got lunch and went to Maderia Beach. The kids loved the ocean until they got water in there mouth and then wanted nothing to do with the water so they played in the sand. With a little convincing they did get back in and learned to keep their mouth closed! After that we went to my Grannys, ate dinner and spent some quality time with her.
Saturday, we went to Clearwater Beach. It was GORGEOUS and busy, but very nice!!!! When we first got there we took pictures, then we went and ate. We went to Crabby Bills for Lunch, to me it tasted a little to much like a "chain food resturant," but was pretty good. When I go on vacation, I look for more of the "mom and pop" places. After lunch we got on our bathing suits and went and played in the ocean. The kids enjoyed it a lot better and LOVED jumping the waves! The tide was a little higher also, which helped. It was a lot more of a work out for Jeff and I also, since we were helping them jump the waves. I was surprised my legs didn't hurt the next day! The kids did not want to come out of the water, even for a snack. I had got out to take pictures and they were BEGGING me to come back in to Jump the waves!!

Sunday we were all sad to leave Florida and especially the beach, but it all had to end sometime.
