I am not sure if anyone remembers the post about the Great McDonald's in Lake City, Florida and how I was wishing they were building one just like that one VERY close to my house. Mainly because the play area was so wonderful and family friendly!
Well, our McDonald's opened up last week and it does not even have a PLAYPLACE!!!
Let me repeat that: McDonald's and NO PLAYPLACE!!!!
Now I have yet to go inside, BUT Jeff has and although it is small inside, they used the most out of the space!
In my opinion, they do not want customers to stop and come inside to eat. They want people in their busy, rushed lifestyle to eat in their car on the run from one place to the next. Which would explain the two drive-thru lines. They don't want the kids running to get exercise. It seems to me all they wanted was just a drive up window, and if that is the case why did they build it separate from the rest of the complex!
I am just a mother that likes to take my kids to McDonald's to play on PlayPlace to get some energy out when they cant on those cold winter days or rainy summer days!!! But does not like driving 15-20 min to do so!!
I will step off my soap box now. Thank you!!
Now, I am excited over the whole shopping center and looking forward to having shopping less 5 min away! We did have a 15 min drive if we didnt want a Gas Station, Home Depot, or Dollar General. There is now a Target with a STARBUCKS (I gave up coffee for lint, is it Easter YET????) which opened the same day as the above said McDonalds and Belks opens this week. Coming soon is a Publix, PetsMart, Staples and more!

On a side note, please pray for Marie and her family. Marie was diagnosed with Leigh's Disease back on October 2007, and really has fought this disease well, and has not has the decline the doctors expected her to have. But now been admitted to the hospital with pneumonia.
Also, for my friend who received news from the doctor that she did not want to hear!
